For the first time in history the end consumer has an independent means to assess conformity of their gasoline and diesel fuels with environmental standards.Beginning September 1, 2007, companies participating on the RINSTAR™ Renewable Fuel Registry have the right to display the Certified Refuel™ mark at the point of commerce for those fuels that meet the standard.
The Certified Refuel™ program is available to all renewable fuel suppliers, marketers, and gasoline manufactures supplying products for consumption by the American consumer.To qualify for the program, the renewable fuel is registered on RINSTAR™ (RFR) at the time of production and receives the certification mark.Each subsequent transfer of the fuel is then tracked on RINSTAR™ (RFR), tested against compliance standards and independently validated.The Certified Refuel™ mark signifies that the fuel meets or exceeds the Environmental Protection Agency's Renewable Fuel Standard.
